Barge Loading
Our barge loading capabilities encompass numerous dry bulk commodities ranging from specialty grains, Silica sand as well as other unique products. Easy truck/trailer access in addition to convenient weigh-scale operations allow continuous loading.
Barge Unloading
Our barge unloading business has been enhanced with recent investments in equipment and dock facility upgrades. Convenient truck/trailer access and weigh-scale operations drive throughput as we unload products such as agricultural nutrients, premium mulch, specialty grains and industrial road salt.
Storage
We store dry bulk agricultural commodities in three large enclosed buildings as well as multiple outside storage pads on nearly 20 acres located approximately one mile from river operations. These storage operations, including a second certified weigh-scale and office building are located completely out of the floodplain.

Ottawa Barge Terminal, Inc. is conveniently located 80 miles southwest of Chicago, on the Illinois River. Our facility has barge loading and unloading capabilities on the river as well as significant storage capacity, both indoor and outdoor, on nearly 20 acres, completely out of the floodplain.
